As a former Pipe Master and one of the world’s most iconic surfers, Rob Machado’s surely had his fair share of living in the spotlight. As we’ve seen in the media, living like this can become overwhelmingly exhausting for a celebrity, which isn’t hard to understand why.
Due to such exhaustion, in the summer of 2008 Rob decided to fly to Indonesia and experience a different type of surf trip. One that would take him way beyond his comfort zone to the point where he could finally be alone. And of course score some perfect barrels.
