Deeper Than Snow – Epic Powder Scenes

Deeper than Snow is not your ordinary snowboarding film. In fact, according to The White Line Crew, it isn’t a snowboarding film at all. It’s a film about a snowboarder, with a story that goes Deeper than Snow. It follows snowboarder Jake Cornish as he returns for the first time to Nendaz (Switzerland), to explore what happened when he was buried in an avalanche over 7 years ago. The avalanche dragged him through a forest for more than a kilometre and if not for the intervention of a friend, he would almost certainly have died. JakeArms1 While the film makers claim this is not just another snow porn snowboarding film, you’ll witness a tonne of beautifully crafted scenes featuring riders carving hard through thick, juicy powder. That makes two damn good reasons to check out this weeks Film of the Week. 1. Follow the emotional story of Jake Cornish returning to the place that almost took his life and how he balances the risk of snowboarding with the responsibility of his family life. 2. Envy the lucky blokes snowboarding the incredible locations captured by George Simpson and drool over powder so thick and soft it could bury you alive (literally) and you’d think your mum was tucking you into bed on a crispy winters night.
