Play Of The Day: Speed Flying Off 2100m-High Cliffs In Chamonix

You’re skiing down a mountain face, and suddenly out of no where the slope drops off into a 2100m-deep valley. What do you do? BASE jump off it, of course!

Speed flying is what happens when you combine skiing with paragliding. You’ve probably seen footage of people doing it before, but not like this. Typically speed flying consists of skiing down a mountain, using your wing to help you get a little bit of air as you ride over small bumps on the slope. People don’t usually ski off a huge cliff, throw down a few front flips, and only then release their parachute once they’ve done this. Insane! Check out the following clip of these crazy Frenchmen going for it in Chamonix.
