Play Of The Day : Amazing footage of Andreas Fransson in the most dangerous corridor in the Alps

On April 19, 2010, Andreas was descending the Y Couloir on the Aiguille Verte in Chamonix, France. While rappelling through a cliff he was knocked off his rope by an avalanche. He tumbled 400 meters over rock, ice and snow, breaking many bones in his upper-body.

On the January 18, 2011 he went back the to same couloir in order to fight his worst fear.

After loosing many of his friends, taken by the mountains, Andreas is now gone too, he died at the age of 31 in an avalanche on 29 September 2014, on Monte San Lorenzo in Chile alongside his friend JP Auclair. RIP
